Each have been linked with the coaching position at the Premiership title holders following the former manager's departure on Monday.

The Manager's Stance on The Scottish Club

The Ipswich boss described the Glasgow giants as "a really big football club" but emphasized he is "in the middle" of a "long-term project" with the Championship side.

The 39-year-old took charge of Portman Road in recent years and led them to the English top flight with consecutive elevations, but they managed only four games last campaign as they were relegated back to the Championship and they presently occupy 12th in the Championship.

"There have been any of those discussions," the London-born former Irish youth international said when questioned about being on Celtic's shortlist.

"It's not something I have considered seriously, or where any part of my concentration is this week.

"I have a unique position here at a special club. And we're at a really important stage of the season. Anything external hasn't touched my radar."

Background and Contractual Aspects

Reports indicate that the manager would be willing to talk to the Scottish side given his childhood support.

"During youth, we all have our affinities," he said when asked about those. "I don't think all people has to publicly and declare what they were, but naturally it's a massive sports organization."

McKenna agreed to a new four-year contract in 2024 and was asked about his reported £5m release clause.

"Throughout coaching agreements, there are things," he replied. "I don't know what my specific terms are and, were I informed, I wouldn't disclose you anyway!

"I tackle this job like I'll be Town's coach forever. I understand that's not always going to be the case, but I'll always give maximum effort as long as I remain in position."

Bellamy's Situation

The former striker played for the Hoops on temporary transfer from the Magpies in 2005, but the ex- Welsh forward is minded to finish the ongoing World Cup campaign, a position that would practically eliminate the 46-year-old from assuming the Celtic job.

Wales are presently in third place in their World Cup group behind leaders the Red Devils and second-placed North Macedonia.

Victories over Liechtenstein and their rivals in next month would secure their position in the final qualifying round, but they are virtually assured of making those, thanks to a successful European competition campaign, should they not finish as their group runners-up.

Given his present stance, Bellamy, whose contract concludes after Euro 2028, would be unavailable until after the qualifying matches at the minimum.
