The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. Escola, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that character reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and cartoon version.
The new cast member is joined by a number of fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is due to premiere for its second season on March 10, 2026.
