Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.

My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
